Professions
Licensed Psychotherapist (LPCC, LCSW, MFT, LPAT…): Providers who have a master’s degree and have passed a state and/or national licensing exam. They can provide clinically research evidence supported mental health therapy to individuals of all ages.
Psychologist (PhD, PsyD): Providers who have a doctorate in psychology. They can conduct psychological tests and have clinical knowledge to provide talk psychotherapy services.
Medication Prescribers: Assess, diagnose, and treat those with mental health conditions and work closely with patients to prevent, identify, and manage symptoms resulting from psychiatric or substance disorders. Both clinicians are experts in psychopharmacology, and they each possess an in-depth knowledge of psychiatric medications and how to prescribe them effectively.
Psychiatrist (MD/DO): Providers who have completed medical school, residency and fellowship trainings.
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP, PMHNP): Nurses who have completed an RN program and a nurse practitioner program
Registered Dietitians (RD): A registered dietitian nutritionist is a food and nutrition expert who has met academic and professional requirements for licensure.
Coach: Many coaches have completed an accredited coaching program allowing them to deepen their knowledge in their specialization. These professionals help clients maximize and reach their personal and professional potential.
Options for Payment
Cash: Client pays for each session up front (cash/check/card) and neither client or provider has to submit anything to clients insurance company. *Counseling can be paid for and/or reimbursed through HSA/FSA accounts. Please check with your specific provider for more details.*
Sliding scale: A range of out of pocket fees that providers accept based on the financial need of the client.
Out of Network: Clients pay for each session out of pocket (cash/check/card) and can possibly be financially reimbursed by their insurance carrier at a later date. The provider will provide the client with a superbill that will be submitted to insurance carrier for review. Please check with your insurance provider beforehand on this to review your benefits and determine if this is a good route for you.
Insurance name (ex. Humana, Aetna, Passport, etc.): Provider is an in network provider with stated insurance company. Advised for clients to call their insurance carrier directly in order to learn more about their behavioral health or other wellness benefits.
Service Types
Psychotherapy: Talk therapy where individuals have a safe and confidential space to explore their mental health goals and difficulties with a licensed mental health professional (LPCC, MFT, LPAT, LCSW…).
Individual: Sessions involve a licensed professional mental health professional and one client.
Child/Adolescent: Individuals under the age of 18
Adult: Individuals 18 and older
Relationship : Sessions involve a licensed professional mental health professional and one or more individuals who want to explore their relationships with others (romantic or platonic).
Family: Sessions involve a licensed professional mental health professional and families (of all sizes). Sessions are geared towards helping families improve communication and resolve conflicts.
Group: Sessions involve one or more licensed professional mental health professionals and a group of approximately 3-15 people. Many groups are designed to target a specific hardship.
Expressive: Expressive arts therapy combines psychology and the creative process (dance, art, music, etc.) to promote emotional growth and healing.
Workshops: An in person or online meeting in which a group of people engage in discussion and/or activity on a particular subject.
Medication Management: Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of those with mental health conditions through psychopharmacology.
Coaching: Non-clinical guidance from a professional who specializes in a specific area (life, nutrition, business, starting a business, etc…)
Holistic Practices: A form of healing that considers the whole person (body. mind, spirit and emotions).
Reiki: The spiritual healing art that works by channeling positive energy into your body- focusing on the affected areas of the body that need a boost.
Nutrition: Sessions involve professional and client(s). Goal is to assist them in the understanding of nutrition on their overall health through education, planning, and guidance.

Online Coaching: Using electronic communication and information technologies to provide non clinical coaching care at a distance.
